Case Study: Inxmail for Salesforce

In the non-profit organization Habitat & Humanisme, Inxmail has found an enthusiastic customer. Personalized mailings with complex recipient groups that can be managed internally were just one requirement. Inxmail was even able to exceed the high demands placed on email marketing software by providing unique solutions that other programs could not handle in the same way. Integrated into the Salesforce Sales Cloud, Inxmail provided the perfect addition for comprehensive campaign management. Ease of use, dynamic content and secure delivery complete the result.

Making communication as easy as possible

For Habitat et Humanisme, it is important that newsletters only contain information that is relevant to a particular region.

Habitat & Humanisme was founded in 1985 to provide affordable housing to people in need. The organization goes even further: the many volunteers provide continuous support to these individuals to help them get back on their feet. With a total of 57 locations across France, Habitat & Humanisme has now become a nationally comprehensive organization. And that also means a considerable administrative and communication workload.

In order to communicate with all members, donors and newsletter subscribers, Habitat & Humanisme was looking for a suitable email marketing solution. This had to meet several challenges: First of all, the program should be able to be seamlessly integrated into the Salesforce Sales Cloud, where campaigns would be centrally managed. Furthermore, newsletter readers should only receive information that affects their respective region. Last but not least, the software should be affordable and easy to use. This is because Habitat & Humanisme is still primarily a charitable organization that spends money on people in need rather than on marketing. As a result, all mailings are created and sent by team members, who mostly work on a voluntary basis.

Solution

One interface, many applications

Inxmail quickly provided a suitable solution for all challenges. The API interface allowed the email marketing software from Inxmail to be seamlessly integrated into the Salesforce Sales Cloud. Newsletters are now sent exclusively via the Salesforce interface. The mailing is distributed according to the target groups and regions to which it is sent, with Each of the almost 60 regions receives its own relevant content. However, Habitat & Humanisme's helpers quickly realized that Inxmail's software was capable of more. Inxmail can not only synchronize data with the Salesforce Sales Cloud, but also interact with other systems.

This means, for example, that personalized donation receipts can be sent to the relevant customers as individual PDFs. The data for this comes from another system that automatically inserts the contact details into the PDF. The newsletters, several of which are sent out weekly, are now only sent to people in whose region there is news. This is made possible by regional building blocks that are automatically compared with the subscribers' data.

And here comes the best part: all building blocks and mailings were set up by Habitat & Humanisme members after they received a detailed introduction to Inxmail. This also helped to overcome the challenge of easy-to-learn operation.

About Habitat et Humanisme

Habitat et Humanisme was founded in Lyon in 1985 by Bernard Devert. Devert was a real estate professional at the time and became a priest over the years. The association's origins lie in the emergence of a resistance movement in an era of economic and housing crisis. The first “ghetto neighborhoods” were springing up on the outskirts of major cities, while the renovated and gentrified old centers were driving out the low-income population. Habitat et Humanisme wanted to do something about this and has been working for people in need ever since.
