SLV GmbH sells its lighting solutions in over 100 countries through 15 subsidiaries. Therefore, it was looking for a new shop system that, among other things, would optimally meet its multilingual requirements - and would do so as automatically as possible in conjunction with personalized transactional emails sent worldwide. The decision was made to use the Spryker e-commerce solution. Spryker and Inxmail have a long-standing partnership with a sophisticated interface between the two systems of online shop and email marketing. The Inxmail email marketing platform scored points at SLV with mailings that were reliably delivered worldwide, pre-configured events and clear workflows for mapping multilingual communication in the B2B sector.
Fast, individual and brand-compliant responses for every request
A dealer requests a current catalog via the website, for example. Or they want to log into their account but have forgotten the password. Or they have placed an order via the online shop and are waiting for the order confirmation. These are just a few of the automated transactions at SLV.
Depending on the country from which the dealer makes his request, he immediately receives the appropriate response – personalized, in the appropriate language and with the country-specific data of the sender to whom the dealer is assigned. The transactional emails are designed in line with the brand design of the SLV online store and ensure a high recognition value for recipients.
Thanks to the reliable delivery of mailings worldwide, the country in which the dealer is based is irrelevant. They are waiting for an answer to their important question or transaction, and they receive this quickly and in a personalized manner directly in their inbox.
Automated and transparent workflows with preconfigured mailings
To meet the demand for fast, personalized, country-specific communication with dealers, SLV has mapped a variety of automated workflows in Inxmail Commerce.
A separate workflow is set up per event (e.g. catalogue request or order confirmation). This workflow maps out step by step which mailing is to be sent automatically. Based on defined filters (such as the location of the retailer), it is determined which transactional email is sent to the recipient with which information (e.g. in the footer).
With the large number of subsidiaries, this can sometimes be very complex. The workflows in Inxmail Commerce map these dependencies very clearly and list the used and preconfigured mailings. This makes it easy to see at any time whether and why a particular mailing was sent.
The data is stored outside the Inxmail platform in the shop system. The required data (customer and product data) is transferred via Rest-API into the preconfigured placeholders during sending. This ensures that the system always works with current data. This is particularly important for transactions involving passwords. An event in Inxmail Commerce and thus the sending of the appropriate mailing is triggered by a unique ID, which is also transmitted via Rest-API.
Improved communication processing and potential for new transactional emails
The combined solution of the Spryker and Inxmail Commerce systems enables SLV to respond to dealers worldwide in a very specific and personalized way. Setting up automated workflows for standardized transactions has both improved customer communication processing and freed up internal resources. Initial results show positive effects on the customer experience, and meaningful data on usage intensity or sales development is still being collected.
Furthermore, it is easy to verify that the requested login data has actually been sent. And if not, it can be followed up promptly. This is an important aspect of SLV's collaboration with dealers.
Based on the positive experiences to date, communication with retailers is to be even more detailed in future for each target group. A communication concept is already being created thanks to freed-up resources. The presentation of transactions will become even more complex and can be mapped in a comprehensible way thanks to the clear workflows in the Inxmail platform.
