Vorwerk faces a particular challenge in this regard: so-called mandatory emails. These mailings do not contain advertising, but important information such as product information or changes to the terms and conditions – and must be received by end users. However, such mailings carry the risk of an increased bounce rate. Vorwerk now wants to ensure that the valuable information reaches the recipients.
But that's not all: once the emails have been delivered, they also have to look good. Vorwerk therefore wanted an email marketing tool that would allow them to quickly and easily create mailing templates. These templates should accurately reflect the company's corporate design while also being flexibly adaptable to new campaigns. Vorwerk tackled the project together with Inxmail.
Inxmail's mailing managements service was exactly what Vorwerk needed. Before sending millions of mandatory emails, a few preparations are required. The key to this is the technical setup of the sending infrastructure.
As a first step, Inxmail optimized the distribution list: thanks to its many years of experience, the Inxmail team of experts was able to take measures to maximize deliverability before sending. Vorwerk then had Inxmail set up a separate subdomain for the campaign emails. This includes domain authentication so that the company can be clearly verified when sending. The subdomain eliminates the risk of an increased bounce rate negatively impacting the reputation of the main domain – which would have devastating consequences for Vorwerk.
However, there are other things to consider when sending so many mandatory emails at once. It is very important that editors limit themselves to the essentials in terms of content. It is also best to avoid links or only include those that are absolutely necessary.
To maximize the deliverability of the global mailing, Inxmail was in direct contact with the most important mailbox providers. As a result, Vorwerk was pleased with the extremely high delivery rate at the end.
